About Carbon Check
Carbon Check (India) Private Limited is an internationally renowned certification body committed to excellence in the delivery of impartial and competent third-party assurance services covering validation, verification, and certification of climate change projects across the world with special focus on Africa and Latin America. CCIPL is accredited, certified, or recognized, as applicable, by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Gold Standard Foundation (GS), Social Carbon, Climate Community and Biodiversity (CCB), Global Carbon Council (GCC) and SD Vista for providing verification and validation services in each respective regime. Carbon Check is involved in validating project proposals or verifying whether implemented projects have achieved planned greenhouse gas emission reductions. It manages and conducts verification and validation audits of greenhouse gas emission reduction projects.
Position: Associate (Business Development)
Reporting to: Head (Admin and Operations)
Location: Noida, India (Office based)
Roles and Responsibility:
- Identify new leads, contributing to a robust pipeline of potential clients and partners through cold calling, email campaigns and creative outreach methods.
- Establish active communication and strong relations with prospects and customers.
- Update the CRM system with accurate, detailed information, leading to more effective follow-ups and business development activities.
- Creation of compelling and informative marketing materials that resonate with our target audience.
- Conduct competitive market research.
- Support the marketing team with research and content to be published on our marketing channels.
- Attend industry events, webinars, and conferences smoothly and efficiently.
- Identify new market opportunities or trends in GHG services.
- Managing and building client relationships.
Desired Skills / Mandatory:
- Sales Expertise: An established Business Development Associate with a strong sales/ business development track record.
- High integrity: Committed to maintaining integrity and ethical conduct.
- Industry Knowledge: Preference for experience in the carbon markets, with an understanding of topics such as GHG programs, ISO Standards, Climate Change negotiations including UNFCCC and IPCC meetings.
- Negotiation skills: Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail demonstrated by a consistent ability to close complex deals and exceed sales targets.
- Problem Solver: Deep empathy for customer challenges, with a proactive approach to resolving them and motivating others to collaborate on solutions.
- Self-Starter: Takes initiative and thrives in coordinating with the related teams. Team player with a high degree of self-motivation
- Technical Excellence: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and digital content creation (e.g., Google Analytics, social media platforms).
Educational Qualification and Experience:
- Graduate Degree in Marketing, Business Development or related field. Postgraduation preferable.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in related domain is preferred.
